New Delhi: Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has slammed the Centre over hike in PNG and CNG prices, saying ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s accountability is only towards his associates`.
The Congress MP from Kerala’s Wayanad got here down closely on the NDA authorities on the Centre over rising prices of important commodities, together with petrol, diesel, edible oil, CNG and PNG and many others.
“Inflation continues to grow. ‘Acche din’ is heavy on the country. Prime Minister`s accountability only towards his friends,” the Congress chief mentioned in a tweet in Hindi.

Rahul Gandhi’s tweet got here a day after the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) introduced a hike in prices of compressed pure fuel (CNG) and piped pure fuel (PNG) in Delhi and neighbouring cities of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad with impact from 6 AM on July 8.
The pure fuel provider elevated CNG prices by 90 paise per kg whereas PNG prices had been raised by Rs 1.25 per SCM (normal cubic metre).
The Congress chief has been essential of the Narendra Modi authorities over the hike in the prices of gas and LPG.
