National Herald case: The PMLA Adjudicating Authority on Wednesday upheld the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) attachment of assets worth Rs 751.9 crore of Congress-promoted National Herald newspaper and firms linked to it in a cash laundering case.

The authority stated in its order that it holds the idea that the movable assets and fairness shares, which had been seized by the ED, represent proceeds of crime and are linked to the offence of cash laundering.

ED attaches properties worth Rs 752 crore

The central company had on November 21, 2023, provisionally hooked up properties by issuing a provisional attachment order beneath the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) towards Associated Journals Ltd. ( AJL) and Young Indian (YI).

ED questions Gandhis
