Firing reported outside Uttar Pradesh Assembly in Lucknow.
A shooting incident has been reported outside Uttar Pradesh Assembly near its gate no 7 in Lucknow. As per initial reports, a police inspector has been killed. The gunshots were fired with a service revolver in the parking area outside gate no 7 of the state legislative assembly.
A heavy police presence has been maintained outside the UP Assembly while further investigation as to what caused firing to take place in this high-security area is underway. More to follow.
