President Vladimir Putin known as on Russians Friday to get vaccinated in opposition to the coronavirus and mentioned Moscow was ready to permit foreigners to enter the nation to get the jab.

The 68-year-old leader said that Russian authorities had not registered a single fatality linked to the coronavirus vaccine.
He reiterated that he himself had been vaccinated and that the jabs have few side effects.

He mentioned Russia was prepared to begin vaccinating foreigners and tasked the federal government with organising entry to paid vaccination programmes for them.
“Taking under consideration the effectivity of our vaccines, I do know that such demand is fairly excessive,” Putin said.
“The domestic pharmaceutical industry is ready to further ramp up vaccine production,” he added.
Kirill Dmitriyev, the top of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) which funds the vaccine, mentioned on the discussion board that Russia might change into open for “vaccine tourism” from July.
The Kremlin said that Putin had been vaccinated in private but it is not known which of Russia’s three main jabs he had used.
Russia registered Sputnik V, the world’s first coronavirus vaccine, in August 2020.
Named after the world’s first satellite launched by the USSR in 1957, Sputnik has been touted by Putin as “the world’s best” jab, whereas main impartial medical journal, The Lancet, deemed it efficient in a research revealed in February.
