Chennai: The BJP-led NDA alliance in Puducherry is main in 17 seats, whereas the Congress headed alliance is ahead in 11 seats, and others have bagged one seat.
As per Election Commission knowledge, the AINRC has received two seats whereas its NDA ally BJP has received one seat. Both events are main in three and two seats, respectively. The DMK has received one seat, whereas the Congress is main from two seats.
The All India NR Congress chief and former Chief Minister N Rangaswamy is trailing by 673 votes in Yanam constituency of Puducherry. However, in Thattanchavady, Rangaswamy is main.
U Lakshmikanthan of All Indian NR Congress is main at Embalam constituency and A. John Kumar of BJP is main at Kamraj Nagar. SP Sivakumar of DMK is main in Rajbhavan constituency.
Voting for 30 Assembly constituencies in the Union Territory was additionally held in a single section on April 6, 2021. The contest is principally between the NDA and the UPA.
The NDA alliance contains, All India NR Congress, BJP and AIADMK, whereas the UPA alliance contains DMK and Congress.
