Punjab accident: In a tragic incident, at least seven pilgrims, together with 5 ladies, have been killed and round twenty sustained harm when after being run over by a truck in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur on Thursday.

Injured admitted to hospitals

DSP Khakh stated the deceased have been recognized as Angoori (73), Santosh, each of Yamunanagar (Haryana), Unati (14), her mom Sita Devi (34), Sandesh Pal (45), Ramoh (15), and Rahul (17), all residents of UP’s Muzaffarnagar district. As many as 14 injured individuals have been admitted to Civil Hospital in Garhshankar for therapy whereas the remaining with severe accidents have been referred to PGIMER Chandigarh.

An FIR beneath IPC sections, together with 304 (inflicting loss of life by negligence), 279 (rash driving or driving on a public method) and 337 (inflicting damage by act endangering life or private security of others) has been registered in this connection and additional investigation in the accident is underway, stated Khakh.
