Punjab cabinet growth: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) authorities in Punjab is scheduled to develop its cabinet on Wednesday by inducting two celebration legislators as ministers. This comes after native our bodies minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar submitted his resignation from the Council of Ministers, citing private causes. He was an MLA from the Amritsar South Assembly constituency of Punjab.

According to the data, MLAs Balkar Singh and Gurmeet Singh Khudian can be administered the oath at the Raj Bhavan at round 11 am in Chandigarh. Singh is a legislator from Kartarpur, in Jalandhar, whereas Khudian is an MLA from the Lambi seat. The Bhagwant Mann-led dispensation has sought time from the Punjab governor for the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday.

“The Chief Minister has proposed the names of Balkar Singh, MLA from Kartarpur, and Gurmeet Singh Khudian, MLA from Lambi, for being inducted as cabinet ministers,” stated an official. He additional stated CM Mann requested the Governor to accord type approval to administer the Oath of Office and Secrecy to the brand new Ministers at the Raj Bhawan. 

At current, the power of the Mann-led cabinet is 15, together with the chief minister. There are a complete of 18 berths within the cabinet. 

Punjab govt’s anti-corruption helpline receives round 8,000 complaints

Meanwhile, the Punjab authorities’s ‘anti-corruption motion line’ has obtained shut to 8,000 complaints since March 2022. Chief Minister Mann launched the helpline quantity in March 2022 that enables individuals to add video/audio proof of officers asking for bribes or indulging in malpractices.

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), in its relentless pursuit of eradicating corruption, has made exceptional progress in its current anti-corruption marketing campaign, stated an official assertion.

“From March 23, 2022, to the present date, the chief minister’s anti-corruption action line (ACAL) has received a staggering 7,939 complaints accompanied by necessary evidence, signifying the unwavering commitment of the Punjab government to promote transparency and accountability in public administration,” stated the assertion.
