Hoshiarpur, Mar 3 (PTI) A girl’s eight-year-old son and 21-year-old niece had been crushed to demise by a tractor-trailer after they fell off a scooter throughout a snatching incident close to right here on Friday, police mentioned.
The incident occurred close to Miani, about 40 km from right here, whereas the three had been returning to their village, police mentioned.
Tanda Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kulwant Singh mentioned the 40-year-old girl sustained accidents and was admitted to the Community Health Centre, Tanda.
The little one and the younger girl had been using pillion on the scooter. Two unidentified robbers snatched the purse of the younger girl inflicting her aunt to lose management over the scooter that collided with a tractor-trailer.
The three fell on the highway and the lady’s son and niece had been crushed underneath the wheels of the tractor-trailer, police mentioned.
The robbers fled in direction of Rara village. It is probably going that they’d been following the trio for a long way, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kulwant Singh mentioned.
Footage of CCTV cameras put in close to the incident website are being examined, he mentioned, including that the matter is being probed.
