Quetta Gladiators announce former Aussie speedster as bowling coach ahead of PSL 9, Mohammad Amir reacts

In a determined try and win their second Pakistan Super League (PSL) title, Quetta Gladiators have roped in former Aussie tempo service provider Shaun Tait as their bowling coach ahead of the ninth version of Pakistan’s premier T20 league competitors.

Tait will be a part of his former Aussie teammate Shane Watson at Gladiators as the latter has already been appointed as the top coach of the PSL franchise.

“I can happily announce that I’ll be the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators. I’d like to thank Nadeem Omar (Quetta Gladiators team owner) who trusted me with the bowling group, including Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, and Mohammad Amir. Some great talent there to work with alongside the great Shane Watson,” stated Tait in a video launched by the franchise.

Tait, 40, beforehand served as the bowling coach of Pakistan for a one-year time period and labored with the likes of Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and co who’re additionally an element of Quetta’s set-up for PSL 2024. Hence, it’s understood that the Aussie will take the teaching position at Gladiators like a duck to water.

Mohammad Amir reacts to Tait’s appointment:

Former Pakistan tempo spearhead Mohammad Amir appears delighted with Tait taking up as bowling coach of Gladiators. Amir will probably be seen in motion for Gladiators within the forthcoming season alongside fellow pacers Hasnain and Wasim Jr. to bolster the pace-bowling reserves of the franchise.
