Ramesh Jarkiholi CD scandal: Siddaramaiah demands rape case against BJP MLA

Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday demanded to register a rape case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi after a purported intercourse tape surfaced earlier this month exhibiting him in a compromising place with a lady. Speaking on the Karnataka state meeting, Siddaramaiah stated police should register a case below part 376 of IPC against Jarkiholi.

The intercourse tape situation raised by Congress within the adjournment movement have to be mentioned in the home, he stated. Following this, speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri allowed discussing ‘intercourse for job’ allegations against Jarkiholi and 6 others.

A case was registered on March 2 against Jarkiholi for allegedly sexually assaulting a lady after a purported intercourse tape surfaced exhibiting him in a compromising place with a lady.

A complainant Dinesh Kallahall had informed reporters, “I have lodged a complaint with the police, demanding a probe into a sex scandal involving Ramesh Jarkiholi. The victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). Upon reaching the pre-decided location, the woman was sexually assaulted and now is being threatened by the former minister and his people.”

Following the allegations, Jarakiholi resigned on March 3.

On March 5, six ministers within the BS Yediyurappa authorities had moved a Bengaluru courtroom in search of a keep against media retailers from publishing or broadcasting something defamatory against them.
