Ramkrishna Forgings secures ₹270 crore order for Vande Bharat trains

Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd on April 15 mentioned it has acquired an order of ₹270 crore from a consortium led by BHEL to produce bogie frames of Vande Bharat practice units.

The scope of the undertaking includes the event and validation of the bogie frames for the sleeper model of the Vande Bharat practice units, Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd (RKFL) mentioned in a press release.

This order encompasses 32 practice units, every comprising 16 coaches and RKFL can be producing a complete of 1,024 bogie frames, it mentioned.

The order valued at ₹270 crore is to be equipped to the BHEL TRSL consortium, the assertion mentioned.

Lalit Kumar Khetan, Whole Time Director & CFO, Ramkrishna Forgings Limited mentioned, “Securing the prestigious order is an indication to our relentless pursuit of excellence and innovative approach. We…support the Make in India and the advancement of rail transport in the country by leveraging our expertise in manufacturing high-quality bogie frames.” Kolkata-based Ramkrishna Forgings is a producer and provider of closed-die forgings of carbon and alloy metal, micro-alloy metal, and chrome steel forgings.

The firm additionally has a presence within the US, Mexico, Turkey, and Belgium.
