Amitabh Bachchan performed the twin roles of Don and Vijay within the 1978 model of the movie Don, written by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar and directed by Chandra Barot. In 2007, Farhan Akhtar directed a brand new model of Don with Shah Rukh Khan portraying the double function, and a sequel adopted in 2011.
