Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked because the top central banker globally by US-based Global Finance journal. Das has been rated ‘A+’ within the Global Finance Central Banker Report Cards 2023.
Das has been positioned on the top of the record of three central financial institution governors who’ve been rated A+. Grades are based mostly on a scale from A to F for achievement in inflation management, financial progress targets, foreign money stability and rate of interest administration, in response to a press release by Global Finance journal.
An ‘A’ represents a wonderful efficiency down by means of an ‘F’ for outright failure. Das is adopted by Switzerland Governor Thomas J Jordan and central financial institution chief of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong.

The Central Banker Report Cards, revealed yearly by Global Finance since 1994, grade central financial institution governors of 101 international locations, territories and districts, together with the European Union, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, the Bank of Central African States and the Central Bank of West African States. It is to be famous that Das was conferred on the award of ‘Governor of the Year’ at London’s Central Banking Awards 2023 in June.
