David Robertson has obtained a British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for the companies to area people in India.

David Robertson, the supervisor of Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC), has obtained a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for companies to the area people. The award recognises Mr Robertson’s excellent contribution to the game and the neighborhood as head coach of RKFC since January 2017. This included guiding the soccer group into the I-League – the primary time the group has competed at this stage.

The final season of the I-League noticed RKFC attain the best variety of dwelling floor match attendees, averaging 25,000 folks per match.

On studying of his award, David Robertson mentioned: “I’m completely delighted and honoured to have been recognised and awarded this honour for my work in Kashmir. I’ve loved each minute spent in Kashmir. It has been an actual pleasure to have labored and met so many fantastic folks. I consider Kashmir as my second dwelling”.

Jan Thompson, Acting British High Commissioner to India, said: “Shared love for sport is a great unifier of people, and I congratulate David on his inspirational work. The UK and India share a unique living bridge, and sports play a vital role in that.”
