Factory workers at Renault-Nissan’s automotive plant in Tamil Nadu is not going to report for work from Wednesday as their COVID-related security calls for haven’t been met, a union representing the workers informed the corporate in a letter on Monday.
The strike on the plant in Tamil Nadu, collectively owned by Nissan Motor and alliance accomplice Renault, comes forward of a courtroom listening to over allegations from workers that social distancing norms weren’t being adopted and company-provided well being advantages outweighed the chance to their lives.
Nissan, which owns a majority stake within the plant, declined to remark, saying the matter is in courtroom.
