RSS steps into Rahul Gandhi row, says Congress MP should speak more responsibly

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Tuesday stepped into ongoing controversy round Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on democracy saying Gandhi should speak more responsibly. RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale stated that Gandhi should speak more responsibly and see the fact of the Sangh’s acceptance in society. He was talking at a press convention on the final day of RSS’s ‘Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha’ in Samalkha, Haryana. 

His remarks come within the wake of Rahul Gandhi’s repeated goal to RSS in his speeches.

Asked about Gandhi’s current remarks towards the RSS, Hosabale stated he should be doing this for his “political agenda” however RSS doesn’t work within the political area and he has no competitors with the Sangh.

Responding to questions on Gandhi’s remarks within the UK, the RSS chief stated, “Those who converted India into a jail have no right to comment on democracy in the country.”

“Thousands of people including me were put behind the bars during Emergency. They (Congress) are yet to apologise for this. The country will ask them if they have a moral right to talk about democracy,” he stated.

If there is no such thing as a democracy within the nation, how are elections being held and Parliament functioning within the nation, he requested.

“His party also won in one or two elections,” Hosabale identified. Speaking in UK just lately, Gandhi had alleged that the constructions of Indian democracy are underneath “brutal attack” and BJP and RSS have captured virtually all establishments. He has typically accused the Sangh of fanning hate and creating divisions in society.

The RSS chief stated the nationwide training coverage was framed throughout Prime Minister Narendra Modi regime after getting suggestions from the grassroots ranges together with panchayats “unlike under the Congress-led UPA regime when policies were framed by the National Advisory Committee”.

“People of the country and world are watching. They all know what is the truth. Perhaps he also knows,” he stated, including time will give the Congress chief a befitting reply.
