The rupee depreciated 4 paise to 83.26 against the U.S. dollar in the morning session on Friday, monitoring a robust American foreign money abroad and sustained overseas fund outflows.

Forex merchants stated a constructive development in home equities supported the native unit at decrease ranges and restricted the draw back.

At the interbank foreign exchange trade, the rupee opened at 83.22 then touched 83.26 against the American foreign money, registering a decline of 4 paise over its earlier shut.

On Thursday, the rupee had settled at 83.22 against the U.S. dollar.

Brent crude futures, the worldwide oil benchmark, rose 0.15 per cent to $86.98 per barrel.

In the home fairness market, the 30-share BSE Sensex was buying and selling 337.75 factors or 0.53 per cent greater at 64,418.65. The broader NSE Nifty superior 106.80 factors or 0.56 per cent to 19,240.05.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) had been web sellers in the capital markets on Thursday as they offered shares price ₹1,261.19 crore, in accordance to trade information.
