Russia on Monday introduced tit-for-tat sanctions in opposition to 9 senior Canadian officers, together with the justice minister, following comparable measures from Ottawa over the therapy of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny. The Russian overseas ministry stated in a press release that the 9 Canadian officers had been banned from coming into Russia “for an undetermined interval”.
