Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut is a Congress agent. He has come to Belagavi to marketing campaign for Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti candidates, on the path of Congress leaders. His solely intention appears to be disturbing BJP vote-bank, Devendra Fadnavis, BJP chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, mentioned in Belagavi on Thursday.
Mr. Fadnavis was talking to journalists on the Belagavi Airport in Sambra.
He accused Mr. Raut of making an attempt to divide the votes of the BJP in order that it advantages the Congress. “Mr. Raut keeps talking about Maharashtra identity and self-respect of the Marathas. But his real intention is to divide the BJP votes and help the Congress,” he mentioned.
To a question, he mentioned that he had come to Belagavi to marketing campaign for BJP candidates simply as Vilasrao Deshmukh had come to marketing campaign for Congress nominees in Belagavi prior to now.
“I have great regard for the Maratha community. My party and I have always been with the Maratha community. My government formed the Maratha Development Corporation in Maharashtra,” Mr. Fadnavis mentioned.
Earlier, when Mr. Fadnavis arrived to talk on the Belgaum Foundry Cluster in Udyambag, some MES activists protested in opposition to him. They waved black flags and shouted, Fadnavis return. They argued that Maharashtra leaders mustn’t marketing campaign in Belagavi because it was in opposition to the curiosity of Marathi audio system of Karnataka.
Local police dispersed the protestors.
