Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Friday (April 12) met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, in a first assembly with an I.N.D.I.A bloc chief after being launched from Tihar jail the place he was lodged for six months in reference to the alleged liquor rip-off. Singh was launched from the jail on April 3 night after Supreme Court granted him reduction and gave bail.
The duo addressed a joint press convention.
Akhilesh thanks AAP for “help”
Akhilesh Yadav thanked Singh for the “help” the alliance is getting in the elections and mentioned that the AAP chief has confronted “hardships and pain” after being “framed” in “false cases”.
“This (Lok Sabha) election is not happening in a normal situation. Sending an elected CM (Arvind Kejriwal) to jail in fake cases, the same way sending Jharkhand CM to jail,” Akhilesh mentioned.
“I thank Sanjay Singh for the help we are getting from Aam Aadmi Party in our fight to save the democracy, Constitution and India’s reputation. He also faced a lot of hardships and pain, he too was framed in false cases,” he added.
Sanjay Singh alleges “Operation Lotus” in Delhi
Alleging “Operation Lotus” in the nationwide capital, Sanjay Singh claimed {that a} minister of the Delhi authorities resigned succumbing to the strain by the ED.
“…’Operation Lotus’ has started in Delhi also. You have seen how one of our ministers was raided by ED and later he was pressured into resigning. INDIA alliance will win the 2024 elections. We are not contesting in UP but our party workers here will work to make sure SP & INDIA alliance candidates win from their respective seats. To save democracy and the Constitution, we are together. We are yet to hold talks with UP congress leadership…” he mentioned.
Samajwadi Party and Aam Aadmi Party are a part of the Opposition’s I.N.D.I.A bloc comprising over 25 events to battle in opposition to the BJP-led NDA for the Lok Sabha elections.
The normal elections can be held in seven phases beginning April 19. The outcomes of the polls can be introduced on June 4.
