Goa moved to second place on the desk with 4 factors following their 2-0 win over Kerala. Services thrashed Arunachal Pradesh 4-0 with targets from Samir Murmu, Vijay J and a brace from Bikash Thapa within the second half. Meghalaya fell to their second straight defeat, shedding 1-2 to Assam.

Striker Necio Fernandes scored in both half as Goa defeated Kerala 2-0 of their second Group A match within the Santosh Trophy ultimate spherical right here on Friday.

The victory powered Goa to second place on the desk with 4 factors. Goa are two factors behind the desk-toppers Services, who defeated Arunachal Pradesh earlier within the day.

Despite their 3-1 victory over Assam on the opening day, Kerala failed to construct on the success and dropped to the third place with three factors.

It was for the second time within the competitors that Goa obtained the higher of Kerala, having defeated them 1-0 in a bunch-stage match in Benaulim in October 2023.
