“But the defects (in the petition) were not cured,” the CJI stated.
The senior lawyer stated all of the defects have been cured.

Election & Muslim quota
Ahead of the meeting election, the state authorities led by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, not too long ago, determined to scrap the 4 per cent reservation for Muslims. The 4 per cent OBC Muslim quota has been divided between the Vokkaligas and Lingayats. Muslims eligible for quota have been categorised beneath economically weaker sections now. The state authorities’s resolution has pushed the reservation restrict to round 57 per cent now.
Karnataka elections
The ballot course of for the May 10 Karnataka Assembly elections is formally set in movement on Thursday with the gazette notification. According to the Election Commission’s (EC) schedule of occasions, the final date of making nominations is April 20.
