Sensex Ends Volatile Trade 188 pts Lower; Nifty Below 19,750; IT Stocks Drag – News18

Sensex Today: Profit reserving in monetary shares weighed on the benchmark indices Friday with State Bank of India (SBI), Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, and HDFC Bank settling as high laggards, falling as much as 3.6 per cent.

That aside, revenue reserving in Infosys, Wipro, Tech M, HCL Tech, and Reliance Industries additional capped upside.

The S&P BSE Sensex ended 188 factors decrease at 65,795 ranges, whereas the Nifty50 ended at 19,732, down 33 factors.

The broader markets, then again, notched good points with the BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rising 0.27 per cent and 0.36 per cent, respectively.

Among sectors, the Nifty PSU Bank index fell 2.4 per cent, adopted by over 1 per cent dip within the Nifty Bank, and Private Bank indices. On the upside, the Nifty Pharma index gained 1 per cent.

Global Cues

Elsewhere in Asia, Shanghai Composite was down 0.4 per cent amid an 8-per cent crack in Alibaba shares. Hang Seng, in the meantime, shed 1.65 per cent.

Australia and South Korea’s benchmark indices fell 0.2 per cent and 0.80 per cent, respectively.

Nikkei was the one index in inexperienced, up 0.06 per cent.

Overnight, the Dow Jones slipped 0.13 per cent, the S&P 500 ticked greater by 0.12 per cent, whereas the Nasdaq Composite inched up by 0.07 per cent.
