Mumbai: Domestic indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 opened in the inexperienced on Monday amid optimistic developments in the US markets and steady international fund inflows. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 507.22 points to 63,008.91 in early trade. The broader NSE Nifty gained 141.85 points to 18,641.20.
From the Sensex pack, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bharti Airtel, Titan, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Finance have been the main gainers.
Power Grid and HCL Technologies have been the laggards.
In Asian markets, Tokyo and Shanghai have been buying and selling in the inexperienced, whereas Hong Kong quoted decrease. The US market ended with important features on Friday. Meanwhile, world oil benchmark Brent crude jumped 0.71 per cent to USD 77.50 a barrel.
