Shashank director denies in Delhi HC to the film being based on Sushant Singh Rajput  : Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

The director of the upcoming film Shashank has denied in the Delhi High Court that the film is based on the lifetime of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He mentioned that the film exhibits the battle of outsiders in the business. 

Director Sanoj Misra submitted an affidavit in response to a go well with filed by Rajput’s father Krishna Kishore Singh who has sought restrain from anybody utilizing his son’s title and likeness for the function of any film. 

“The film of defendant no. 7 (Mishra) ‘Shashank’ is completely based on portraying the battle of outsiders in Bollywood. The theme and story is based on 4 younger boys. Defendant no. 7 can be an awesome instance of battle as an outsider of Mumbai in Bollywood,” the reply by Misra read. He also said that there is a lot of difference in the name of the movie Shashank and Sushant Singh Rajput. 

In the plea, Rajput’s father mentioned names of some of the films which include- Nyay:The Justice, Suicide or Murder: A Star was lost, Shashank and one unnamed crowd funded films. As per the suit, Nyay is scheduled to be released in June while the shooting of Suicide or Murder: A star was lost and Shashank has commenced.

“The defendants (filmmakers), benefiting from this case, have been attempting to encash this chance for ulterior motives,” the plea read. The plaintiff (Singh) also sought damages over Rs 2 crores from the filmmakers for “lack of fame, psychological trauma and harassment” to Rajput’s family.
