Noting that the design of sensible home windows which might be tuneable for all-weather situations is difficult, the workforce claimed that it has designed sensible window ‘glasses’ utilizing noble metals in addition to their comparatively cheap alternate options that may dynamically control the depth of transmitted photo voltaic radiation, relying upon the climate or climate situations.

“We have proposed an electro-tuneable glass made of two ultra-thin metal layers sandwiching an electro-optic polymer whose refractive index can be changed by applying a small voltage, which allows filtering of visible and infrared radiation,” defined Ashish Kumar Chowdhary, analysis scholar, IIT Guwahati.
