Odisha: At least three individuals have been killed and 13 injured in an accident in Odisha’s Borigumma on Friday after a dashing SUV hit an autorickshaw, two bikers and another car. The accident that was caught on CCTV confirmed a dashing SUV shedding its management and hitting a number of individuals on a single lane route. The incident befell in Koraput district.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik introduced ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh every for the kin of the three individuals, who died in the highway accident. CM additionally expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved households.
The accident befell round 2.30 pm close to Bijapur Square beneath the Borigumma Police Station limits when the automotive with a Chhattisgarh registration quantity collided with a motorbike, after which these two autos hit one other two-wheeler and autorickshaw with 15 passengers on board, one other police officer stated.
Two of the deceased individuals have been passengers of the autorickshaw and one other was a motorcyclist. The deceased are but to be recognized, the officer stated. The injured individuals have been taken to SLN Medical College and Hospital at Koraput.
In one other incident, three individuals, together with a lady, have been killed and 4 others injured when a bus with 30 passengers on board and a pick-up van collided head-on at Khadabhaga on National Highway 59 in Ganjam, a senior officer stated.
The deceased individuals have been recognized as Rajendra Kumar Badu (55) and Babu Behera (35) of Haladiapadar and Sunita Patra (45) of Gobindanuagaon, close to Berhampur, Aska Police Station inspector in cost P Swroop Kishan stated.
The injured individuals have been admitted to a sub-divisional hospital at Aska and their situation was acknowledged to be out of hazard, the police stated.
