Sri Lanka Cricket introduced the squad for the ICC T20 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 on Thursday, May 9. The former World Cup winner Angelo Mathews is a part of Sri Lanka’s 15-member squad for the mega match within the USA and West Indies beginning on June 1.
Angelo, 36, was a part of the workforce that gained the ICC T20 World Cup 2014 and is about to carry his expertise to a powerful and balanced workforce for the upcoming version. Former captain Dasun Shanaka can also be included within the 15-member workforce whereas the veteran wicketkeeper batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa finds a spot in reserves solely.
