The State authorities has fashioned a State-level empowered committee, district-level monitoring panels, and challenge implementation models (PIU) for the well timed completion of tasks envisaged within the Idukki and Wayanad growth packages.

The empowered committee is headed by the Chief Secretary and has the Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) as its convener. Members embody prime officers of varied authorities departments, District Collectors and District Panchayat Presidents of Idukki and Wayanad, member secretary of the State Planning Board, and the pinnacle of the agriculture division within the planning board.

The committee will approve the tasks, establish sources of finance, and monitor and assessment the progress of tasks, the Planning and Economic Affairs Department mentioned in a March 23 order.

In the 2 districts, the district-level monitoring committees will likely be chaired by the District Collectors. Members embody the Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Economic affairs), the principal secretaries for SC/ST welfare, finance, agriculture, native self authorities, head of the agriculture division within the planning board, district growth commissioners, and the district planning officers.

The MLAs involved and the district panchayat presidents are also members/invitees. These panels will monitor challenge implementation and meet as soon as each three months. Site visits will likely be carried out as soon as in six months.

Further, the federal government has additionally constituted district-level PIUs chaired by the Collectors involved.

The panels have been constituted as a follow-up measure to the issuing of tips for the implementation of the 2 packages. In the State funds for 2023-24, the federal government had earmarked ₹75 crore every for the Idukki and Wayanad growth packages.
