On Thursday, January 25, benchmark Sensex declined by 359 factors whereas Nifty closed under the 21,400 degree on Thursday due to promoting in IT shares and steady international fund outflows. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 359.64 factors or 0.51 per cent to settle at 70,700.67. The index opened decrease and plunged additional 741.27 factors or 1.04 per cent to hit a low of 70,319.04 in day commerce. As many as 19 Sensex shares dropped whereas 11 superior.
The broader Nifty fell by 101.35 factors or 0.47 per cent to settle at 21,352.60 with 34 of its constituents closing within the pink.
