Market Today: The fairness benchmarks opened with slight features on Monday as commerce elsewhere in Asia remained muted with most markets closed on account of Lunar New Year. The BSE Sensex rose 150 factors to 71,740 and the NSE Nifty50 gained 37 factors to 21,820.
Wipro, HCLTech, Infosys, Tech M and TCS held the spots of lead gainers on the Sensex, whereas Dr Reddy’s and Divi’s Labs have been the extra winners on Nifty.
On the flip facet, Power Grid, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Hero Moto, ONGC and Coal India have been the highest frontline losers.
The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rose as much as 0.27 per cent.
Global cues
Markets together with Hong Kong, China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea are closed for Lunar New Year holidays. ASX 200 in Australia was buying and selling 0.2 per cent decrease.
US shares ended blended on Friday. The S&P 500 rose 0.57 per cent to shut above the important thing 5,000 degree for the primary time. Nasdaq rallied 1.25 per cent whereas the Dow Jones fell 0.14 per cent.
