Bengaluru: Mother nature is full of distinctive phenomenons and one of these is a solar halo which was witnessed by the people of Bengaluru on Monday (May 24, 2021) morning.
People had been surprised by seeing a rainbow colored ring surrounding the solar, little did they know that they had been witnessing an atmospheric optical phenomenon often called solar halo.
A solar halo, notably, happens because of the interplay of gentle with ice crystals suspended in the troposphere (layer of the ambiance).
When the sunshine from the solar disperses by means of these suspended ice crystals, then it produces lights with a number of colors at 22 levels and type a ring surrounding the Sun and therefore forming a solar halo.
