New Delhi: India has determined to briefly relocate its embassy from the violence-hit Sudanese capital metropolis of Khartoum to Port Sudan in view of the prevailing safety scenario within the African nation.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated this on Tuesday. “In view of the prevailing security situation in Sudan, including attacks in Khartoum city, it has been decided that the Indian Embassy in Khartoum will be temporarily relocated to Port Sudan,” it stated. “The situation will be assessed in the light of further developments,” the MEA stated. 

Port Sudan is a port metropolis on the Red Sea in japanese Sudan. It is positioned at a distance of round 850 km from Khartoum.

Evacuation Of Indians From Sudan Continues
