Rumours concerning the dying of senior BJP chief and former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan began doing the rounds on social media platforms, prompting Congress chief Shashi Tharoor to tweet his condolences. Tharoor, nevertheless, retracted his assertion quickly after BJP chief Kailash Vijayvargiya and others identified that the information about demise of Mahajan was faux and that she was hale and hearty.
Vijayvargiya tweeted again to Tharoor, informing him that Mahajan is completely wholesome. Tharoor later deleted his tweet and stated that he was relieved that Mahajan is doing high-quality.Â
“I am relieved if that is so. I received this from what I thought was a reliable source. Happy to retract and appalled that anyone would make up such news,” he stated in a tweet whereas replying to a message that she was high-quality.
Responding to Vijayvargiya, Tharoor stated: “Thanks @kailashOnline. I have deleted my tweet. I wonder what motivates people to invent and spread such evil news that takes in people. My best wishes for Sumitra ji’s health and long life.”
“How am I sounding?. I am as healthy as my voice,” Mahajan advised a reporter, who referred to as as much as enquire about her well being after Tharoor’s tweet.
The former Lok Sabha speaker’s son Mandar additionally put out a video clip, saying his mom is completely high-quality.
