The Supreme Court on Monday (February 19) refused to entertain plea in search of switch of investigation and subsequent trial outdoors West Bengal and probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation or a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in reference to alleged sexual assault of girls dwelling in village Sandeshkhali in West Bengal.
Petitioner Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava withdrew the petition from the Supreme Court and sought liberty to approach the Calcutta High Court along with his prayer. The prime court docket famous that Calcutta High Court has taken cognisance of the matter.
