The Table Tennis Federation of India on Friday introduced monetary help to previous and current India gamers and coaches who’ve been hit by COVID-19.

The resolution was taken at TTFI’s govt board assembly earlier this week.

“We might be serving to all India gamers (high 16) who’re affected by COVID-19 . Rs 1 lakh might be offered to somebody who’s on oxygen assist, Rs 2 lakh for severely in poor health and Rs 3 lakh to the household in case of loss of life,” MP Singh, former secretary and TTFI advisor, told PTI.

“All coaches who have been with the Indian team are also covered under this initiative.

“These are challenging times for everyone and this is the least we can do for the affected players and coaches,” he added.

Indian desk tennis has coped with the loss of life of two former gamers as a result of of COVID-19 up to now two months.

Former worldwide Suhas Kulkarni (68) and Arjuna award-winning legend V Chandrasekhar (64) handed away after battling the dreaded an infection.

None of the present gamers have to this point reported being affected by the raging pandemic.
