New Delhi: The earnings and earnings proven by numerous BBC group entities will not be commensurate with the size of their operations in India, in accordance with an official assertion on Friday, a day after the Income Tax authorities ended a three-day-long survey in opposition to the British media organisation.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) issued an announcement with out naming the media organisation and stated that I-T groups unearthed essential proof by the use of assertion of staff, digital proof, and paperwork.
Officials stated the assertion pertains to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
According to the assertion, a number of discrepancies and inconsistencies with regard to switch pricing documentation have been discovered in the course of the survey.
The survey was launched on February 14 at BBC places of work in Delhi and Mumbai and it ended after about 60 hours on Thursday night time.
