IT main TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan has reigned, and the corporate nominated its international head of the BFSI division K Krithivasan because the CEO Designate with rapid impact, the agency mentioned on Thursday.
Gopinathan will proceed with the corporate until September 15, 2023, to offer transition and help to his successor.
“After a stellar career of over 22 years with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and a successful stint as Managing Director and CEO during the last 6 years, Rajesh Gopinathan has decided to step down from the company to pursue his other interests,” the corporate mentioned in a press release.
TCS has nominated its present President and Global Head of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) Business Group K Krithivasan as CEO Designate with rapid impact.
“The Board has nominated K Krithivasan as the CEO Designate, with effect from March 16, 2023. Krithivasan will go through a transition with Rajesh Gopinathan and will be appointed as the Managing Director & CEO in the next financial year,” the assertion mentioned.
The transfer comes because the Indian IT business faces a difficult macro-economic surroundings in its key markets — the United States and Europe.
The firm on Thursday mentioned Krithivasan will take over as CEO and managing director within the subsequent monetary yr, topic to shareholders’ approval.
