Indian authorities is taking a stand towards spam calls.

“People should never pick calls made from unknown numbers. I request every citizen that they should respond to calls from only (telephone/mobile) those numbers they recognise,” he instructed reporters. He was responding to a query about spam calls and cyber frauds.
Vaishnaw mentioned his ministry had not too long ago launched the ‘Sanchar Saathi’ portal to stop spam calls and cyber frauds. Over 40 lakh fallacious SIMs and 41,000 fallacious “points of sale” brokers have been blacklisted, he added.
The use of synthetic intelligence has helped considerably to cut back these instances, he mentioned.
People ought to reply to unknown numbers provided that an identification message is shipped from such callers, the minister mentioned.
