President Joe Biden has invited all three lawmakers to the White House

A metropolis council in Tennessee voted Monday to ship a Democratic lawmaker again to the state’s legislature days after he was expelled for disrupting a session with requires stricter gun management legal guidelines.

Justin Jones and one other Democratic colleague, each of whom are Black, have been expelled by Republican lawmakers final Thursday after they disrupted an meeting session, demanding stricter gun controls within the wake of a mass taking pictures at an elementary faculty in Nashville.

A 3rd legislator who joined their protest — a white girl — was not eliminated, sparking accusations of racism across the case and fueling anger amongst Democrats properly past Tennessee.

President Joe Biden has invited all three lawmakers to the White House, whereas Kamala Harris — the primary Black vice chairman in US historical past — attended a rally in Nashville in help of the “Tennessee Three.”

The Nashville Metropolitan Council voted Monday afternoon to send Jones back to his seat in the state legislature on an interim basis, pending a special election.

The seat that had been held by the other expelled Black lawmaker, Justin Pearson, will be discussed Wednesday at a meeting of the Shelby County board of commissioners, news reports said.
