TMC postpones manifesto release following ‘assault’ on Mamata

The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday postponed the release of its manifesto for the upcoming elections in West Bengal, following the alleged assault on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, get together leaders stated.

Banerjee, the get together’s chairperson, was scheduled to release the manifesto within the afternoon at her residence in Kalighat.

“The manifesto release has been postponed for the time being. It will be released after Mamata Banerjee gets well and is back home. Although our manifesto is ready, there is no question of releasing it without her,” a senior TMC chief stated.

The chief minister is at current present process remedy on the SSKM Hospital in Kolkata with harm to her left leg, waist, shoulder, and neck, in keeping with medical doctors.

She alleged on Wednesday night that in her marketing campaign in Nandigram, she was attacked by four-five males who pushed her, moreover banging on her the door of her automobile, resulting in the accidents.

Banerjee had launched the get together’s listing of 291 candidates on March 5.

West Bengal shall be voting in eight phases, starting March 27. The votes shall be counted on May 2.
