To Curb Vulgarity, Bihar Minister Warns Of Strict Action Against Double-Meaning Bhojpuri Songs


PATNA: Strict motion might be taken in opposition to double-meaning Bhojpuri songs and obscene music movies, Bihar minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav stated on Wednesday. Speaking within the meeting, Yadav, the minister of planning and growth, stated police have additionally been advised to take motion in opposition to Bhojpuri songs with provocative caste overtones that usually result in social unrest and violence.

“Police are bound to initiate action if a complaint is filed in this regard. The Special Branch of Bihar Police has already issued instructions to district police units over this,” stated Yadav, in reply to a calling consideration movement.

CPI(M) MLA Ajay Kumar stated that regardless of directions from the headquarters, native police do not take motion in opposition to obscenity and double entendres in Bhojpuri songs.

“Punitive action should be taken against such singers and musicians,” he stated.
