Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the arrest of climate activist Disha Ravi in connection with a toolkit case, micro-blogging platform Twitter on Monday said a tweet by Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij in which he says those with “seeds of anti-nationalism should be destroyed” has been investigated and “is not subject to removal” under rules governing extreme speech online.

Twitter’s statement came hours after it issued a notice to Vij and said it deleted the tweet based on a complaint from a user in Germany.

The Haryana Minister also shared a screenshot of the message from Twitter.
