Twitter Blue Tick Restored For Late Actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Chadwick Boseman


New Delhi: Twitter`s blue tick saga has taken an attention-grabbing flip after celebrities who’re no extra, together with late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, late Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman and late American singer Chester Bennington, obtained their blue tick restored. 

A press release explaining the restoration of the service for the celebrities who handed away stated that the “account is verified because they are subscribed to Twitter Blue and verified their phone number”. However, it’s not clear who paid for the service. The final exercise seen on Rajput and Bennington`s Twitter account was in 2019 and 2017 respectively. 

 

Sushant, who featured in Bollywood films like `M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story` and `Chhichhore`, was discovered hanging in his Mumbai flat on June 14, 2020. He died on the age of 34. Chadwick, who starred within the film `Black Panther`, died in August 2020 after a battle with colon most cancers. He handed away on the age of 43. Chester, who struggled with despair and substance abuse for many of his life had died by suicide by hanging himself. He died on July 20, 2017, on the age of 41.  

Other celebrities who’re now not alive and obtained their blue tick restored embody American skilled basketball participant Kobe Bryant, singer-songwriter and dancer Michael Jackson and Canadian comic Norm Macdonald, amongst others. 

Twitter CEO Elon Musk had introduced that those that don’t pay for the service would have their blue tick disappear from April 20. Twitter Blue was launched in India on February 8 and is obtainable on a month-to-month subscription charge of Rs 650 on the internet, and Rs 900 on cellular units.
