The protesters blamed corruption in building of the Rs 300-crore Karam Dam, which they alleged, led to the breach
Five individuals, together with two members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Madhya Pradesh, have been arrested by the police right here on Wednesday for protesting over the problem of breach within the Karam Dam in Dhar district and alleging corruption in execution of the challenge, an official stated. They have been arrested and booked beneath Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) part 188 (disobedience to the general public servant order), he stated.
Among the arrested individuals are state AAP spokespersons Hemant Joshi and Sanjeev Vaidya, the official stated. All 5 have been staging a protest on the Regal Square in Indore with out taking permission from authorities for their agitation.
The protesters blamed corruption in building of the Rs 300-crore Karam Dam, which they alleged, led to the breach. They demanded stern punishment for those that indulged in irregularities associated to the dam.
