Two-day State-level science fair begins in Vijayawada


The campus of Andhra Loyola College (ALC) in Vijayawada was filled with power and pleasure on Monday as college students from authorities colleges throughout the State gathered to share their modern concepts on the primary day of the state-level science fair.

As many as 260 college students, who gained the primary and second prizes for his or her science initiatives at district-level science gala’s, exhibited their concepts on the two-day fair, being organised by the School Education Department and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) on the event of National Science Day celebrated on February 28.

The fair was inaugurated by Minister for Education Botcha Satyanarayana, together with School training commissioner S. Suresh Kumar, Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi, ALC principal G.A.P. Kishore, SCERT director B. Pratap Reddy, NTR district Collector S. Dilli Rao, and VMC chief Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar.

Cultural performances and a parade by cadets marked the inaugural session. Speaking on the event, Mr. Satyanarayana requested lecturers to deal with bringing out the expertise in college students at a younger age.

He stated all the federal government college school rooms would quickly be geared up with good TVs and visitor lectures can be employed. He stated the federal government was additionally planning to alter the uniform of scholars. Mr. Satyanarayana added that Andhra Pradesh was far forward of Delhi in offering high quality training.

Mr. Suresh Kumar stated that the division, for the primary time in the State, carried out science gala’s just for authorities college college students to convey out their expertise. He stated over 85,000 college students took half in school-level science gala’s and over 17,500 took half in mandal-level gala’s. In January, in district-level science gala’s, over 3,500 college students competed and 260 initiatives have been chosen for the state-level fair.

Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi requested lecturers to encourage college students to take up extra experiments.

A cell science centre, arrange by science trainer Nellore Subrahmanyam of Nellore district, was a significant attraction on the fair. Mr. Subrahmanyam spent lakhs of rupees to ascertain the cell science centre.
