Chhattisgarh: Two girls have been killed after being struck by lightning in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh, police mentioned on Sunday.
The incident passed off on Saturday in Chilputi village beneath Kondagaon police station limits when the victims, recognized as Radha Markam and Monika Nag, each aged 10 years, had gone to gather tamarind fruits, a police official right here mentioned.
The duo have been busy gathering tamarind on the outskirts of the village when heavy rainfall began and lightning struck, inflicting severe burn accidents, he mentioned.
After being alerted concerning the incident, their family and villagers known as an ambulance and took them to the district hospital the place the girls have been declared lifeless, he mentioned, including that the our bodies have been later despatched for post-mortem.
An unintentional dying report (ADR) was registered in this connection, he mentioned.
