Two held for black marketing Remdesivir in Nagpur.

 

Police have arrested a medical consultant and yet another particular person for allegedly black marketing Remdesivir in Nagpur metropolis of Maharashtra, an official stated on Sunday.

The accused, recognized as Manish Vinodrao Joshi (33) and Gopal Gyaniprasad Sharma (34), had been arrested on Friday, he stated.

“Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap and the duo was arrested while they were selling the anti-viral drug near Raj Bhavan gate,” senior inspector Santosh Bakal stated, including that Joshi works an a medical consultant.

Two Ramdesivir vials, Rs 56,000 money, two two-wheelers and cellphones, collectively value Rs 1,33,500 had been seized from them, he stated.

An offence has been registered in opposition to them, Bakal stated.

According to him, police are looking out for one Kamlakar alias Chhotu Mohtam (35), who had given the Remdesivir injections to Joshi and Sharma.

An area court docket remanded the accused to 2 days of police custody.
