Two Indian fencers taking part within the World Junior and Cadet Championships in Cairo have examined constructive for COVID-19, resulting in them being quarantined there. Fencing Association of India (FAI) President Rajiv Mehta mentioned that the contaminated fencers have been doing tremendous and being sorted by the crew physician. “Yes, two fencers have tested positive and they are undergoing quarantine in Cairo,” Mehta informed PTI.
“Both the fencers are doing fine and they are being looked after by the doctor there,” he added.
India had fielded 24 fencers in all of the three disciplines — sabre, foil and epee — within the match which ends on Sunday.
