Two more folks concerned in selling used surgical gloves after washing and repackaging them in Dwarka have been arrested, police stated on Friday.

The two had been recognized as Hitesh Goyal (39) and Kamal Chauhan (29) from whom 2,150 kgs used gloves had been recovered, police stated.

A complete of 5 males have been arrested to this point within the case, they added.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena stated on disclosures made by one of many accused arrested earlier, raids had been carried out at two areas in Dwarka on Thursday night.

Hitesh Goyal who made a revenue out of this enterprise was arrested together with the caretaker of the godown from the place round 2,150 kgs of used gloves, a washer and drums had been recovered, he stated.

The police earlier had arrested three others within the case — Manish Kumar (30), Arun Shriniwasan (37) and Dinesh Kumar (28) – in raids at two godowns in Dabri and Bindapur on Tuesday from the place 848 kg of surgical gloves had been seized.

According to the police, a preliminary investigation has revealed that used surgical gloves had been procured from scrap markets and hospitals and had been later offered to factories, salons and accommodations at low-cost charges after washing and repackaging them.

A case has been registered within the matter and additional investigation is on, they stated.
